DRAGON'S AGES...

DRAGON'S AGES...

Eastern Dragons metamorphosed ,changing as a caterpillar changes to a butterfly, but taking a somewhat longer period of time than a caterpillar to reach full maturity. this process usualy took 4000 years to complete. A mature Dragon would lay its eggs near water, for even though many lived on land thier ancestors were all water creatures. From being layed the egg would take 1000 before it was ready to hatch, the eggs looking like colourful stones. When hatched the Dragon would resemble a water snake and would then take a further 500 years to grow what looked like the head of a carp and was known as Kiao, not dissimilar in name to the prized fish of the Chinese the Koi which is a member of the carp family. Another 1000 years would pass in the reaching of its next stage which would have the Dragon having a fish like body covered in hard scales and four legs with usualy four claws on each foot, an elongated tail and a bearded face. this stage was called Kiao-lung (lung meaning deaf) Over the next 500 years the Dragon would grow horns through which it would be able to hear, this stage was known as Kioh-lung. So the metamorphosis continued on, in the next 1000 years the Dragon would grow wings , this final stage was known as Ying-lung or winged Dragon and would finaly bring the Dragon to full maturity so as to start the process over again.

THE ELEMENTS-principles of Draconic Magick

THE ELEMENTS-principles of Draconic Magick THE ELEMENTS

A lightning flash:

I have seen water.
Japanese Haiku, written by Shiki, 1867-1902

FIRE
Fire Volatile light - etheric electromagnetism - hot and dry - positive electric

WATER
Water Dense life energy - structured orgone (prana, ki) - cold and humid - negative magnetic

AIR
Air Volatile life energy - etheric orgone (prana, ki) - hot and humid - positive magnetic

EARTH
Earth Dense ("frozen") light - structured electromagnetism - cold and dry - negative electric

Fire and Water are the two primary elements, opposite polarities, so to say. Air and Earth are considered to be secondary, or mixtures of the first two. This is a manner of viewing it.
Some researchers see air as an interaction between the two basic principles of fire and water and earth as the synthesis of the three. The symbolism of Divine trinities "above" the world of manifestation somewhat reflects this view.
Electric and Magnetic relates to the phenomena of electromagnetic energy and life energy. The fire element is electric-positive. On the material plane it is energy, or light, in its conventional meaning. The earth element is electric-negative. It is structured light, or "frozen light" as some researchers say. Modern physics somewhat supports this theory.

The air element is magnetic-positive. On the material plane it is active life energy, or free life energy. The water element is magnetic-negative, or structured life.

If we relate the four elements to the material plane, we can easily order the four elements. Earth and Water belong to the dense material plane while air and fire are part of the etheric plane. The labels "positive" and "negative" are references to density. The elemental references as being "fire," "air," etc., are pictures to make us understand easier the basic qualities. The references to electromagnetism and life energy, dense (structured) and volatile (etheric, non-structured) conform more with the realities of modern physics and magic of the future.

The four elements supply us with an excellent model for the planes of existence and in correlation with it planes of experience within ourselves. The earth element refers to that which is conscious, or the material planes. The water element refers to the human emotions and to the astral plane. The air element refers to the human mind and the mental plane, while the fire element refers to the human will and the causal plane.

Wizards see some "entities" or energies of a higher order that correlate to the four elements. These traditional elementals are the salamanders for the fire element, the sylphs are spirits of the air element, the undines are spirits of the water element, and the gnomes are spirits of the earth element.

In a technological sense we may view spirits as energies of a higher order that are made to manifest (personify) in the etheric plane.

We may conclude that Fire and Earth are electric energy. Fire is positive electric, active and light energy generating as well as Volatile, that is, etherical, non-tangible. Earth is negative electric, passive, receptive and frozen-structured light generating as well as  Dense, that is, tangible, physical.     Moreover, electric equals conductive, channeling. One hot, the other one cold and both dry.
Furthermore, Air and Water are magnetic energy.  Air is positive, magnetic, active life energy(Ki generating)non-tangible or Volatile, that is, etherical, conductive, channeling while Water is negative, magnetic, passive life energy(Ki generating) tangible, structured.
The accurate knowledge of Draconic Magick, Alchemy or Nature Magick is based on the 5 elements: Fire, Water, Air, Earth and Aether(Quintessence)

Dragon Spirit and personal totem

Dragon Spirit and personal totem A totem is a spiritual concept represented by an animal God. It is a metaphor as well as the actual shape of a possible spirit that you can contact, either in dream, meditation or thru invocation. Everyone has a personal totem representing their spiritual nature, or the type of spiritual experience they chose in their lifetime. Everyone also has an aspect of their human being that can be represented by a dragon. This dragon spirit is not a totem. It is the same concept as the totem, but everyone has a dragon inside, sleeping.

This dragon spirit can be awakened, and once in movement, we must learn how to master its power without injuring ourselves or others. When awakened with prudence, there are no dangers in experimenting with our dragon aspect. The precautions are easy to understand; watch your reactions, don’t be aggressive, don’t make any power trips. In the practice section, some exercises are given to become powerful without giving in to anger, so you can really be in charge.
